So, all that is to say, I appreciate that BB thought it prudent to include Firefox Focus. But for the rest of us, please allow us to delete these unnecessary apps. Because the average user has zero clue about how poor their internet security or privacy is - let alone how to enforce it - and this is a great way to provide some protection for them. On a properly configured full Firefox however, using a combination of about :config mods and tracking blocker addons, the browser makes just two (2!) connections. Not to mention that every time you press the "erase history" button on Focus, it sends a ping to Mozilla letting them know how often the feature is being used (this is from their privacy policy). However, if you actually monitor all the connections being made, the browser still makes 19 unnecessary connections to tracking servers and content delivery networks despite this. On firefox focus, the app reports that it blocks 30 or so trackers. Especially since Orfox or a properly configured Firefox with appropriate addons is more private/effective than Focus. Having it in the new Locker (I really like the new Locker btw) does nothing to enhance browsing security nor privacy, since Focus auto clears history by design every time its closed - I feel this is more of a marketing ploy than anything. If someone wants to use Focus, great, if not, they should be allowed to delete it. But there is no need for it to be a disable-only app. Any particular reason why Firefox Focus was made a system app? I understand why it was included, its a good marketing tool.
